- Brand of the application (first two digits)
- Voltage — 12V or 24V
- Type — conventional, BNG, FKB, co-axial, reduction or permanent magnet
- Number of teeth
- Mounting holes
Alternators
- Brand of the application (first two digits)
- Voltage — 12V or 24V
- Type, including internal fan and pump variants
- Amps
- New, remanufactured or OE regulator indicator
